What is The Dragon Tavern?
The Dragon Tavern will be a family-friendly medieval style tavern and event space for lovers of games, fantasy, science fiction, cosplay, and all things creative. Our goal is to create a sense of community for the nerds, geeks, and fans in our lives who share many interests and passions and just need the right venue to enjoy and celebrate the things we love.
Renee
Renée is a proud nerd who is passionate about planning unique events, building community, winning tabletop games, and seeking every opportunity for her young son to be comfortable expressing his growing nerdiness. With over twenty years of experience in project management and even more experience volunteering in event planning and fundraising (and one fun summer in college working as the “Pretzel Girl” at a Bier Garten in Germany), Renee is eager to create a unique space for the nerdy and creative community in the neighborhood she loves so much.

Michael
Michael is a proud nerd who has spent his entire life enjoying comic books, Star Trek, animé, Saturday morning cartoons, puppetry, and all sorts of tabletop games. He is the creator of “Attackers of Opportunity: A Live Play Dungeons and Dragons Podcast” and you can find him directing the Pub Crawl at The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Irwindale, CA, every weekend in the spring. With a degree in theater arts, nearly two decades in the construction management industry, and three years leading the Pub Crawl, Michael is uniquely poised to build and manage his own entertainment venue and tavern specializing in all the things he loves.
